MARIAN SANCTUARY IN LORETTO

The beginnings of the Marian Sanctuary in Loretto date back to 1928. On March 27, 1929, the official name of the town was changed to Loretto, referencing the Sanctuary in Loreto, Italy. In 1981, a statue of Our Lady of Loreto, a faithful copy of the figure from the Sanctuary in Loreto, Italy, was brought to Polish Loretto.

PARK AND OBELISK OF CAROLUS FERDINAND WAZA IN WYSZKÓW

In the second half of the 16th century, the Bishop of Płock, Piotr Dunin Wolski, commissioned the construction of a magnificent manor. Later, it became a favorite place of Carolus Ferdinand Waza. To this day, there remains an obelisk dedicated to his memory, funded by Jan Kazimierz. The work was designed by the Italian Jan Baptista Gisleni - the court architect of the Waza family.

WHISTLE MUSEUM IN GWIZDAŁY

The Whistle Museum was established in May 1999. The proposal for its creation was made by Mr. Witold Tchórzewski, a radiologist and collector from Warsaw, who donated 52 whistles to start with. Today, the museum contains about 1500 whistles and other exhibits.

ARMORY MUSEUM IN THE CASTLE IN LIW

The castle was built in the 15th century as a border stronghold. It is now one of the largest weapon museums in Poland, presenting a main exhibition of cold, firearm, and pole weapons from the 15th to the 20th centuries. This museum also features galleries of temporary exhibitions showcasing collections from other museums and works by local artists. Every year, the International Tournament of Flavors on the Trail of the Great Lithuanian Highway and the International Knight Tournament are held at the Castle in Liw.
